The 49th edition of the Group 3 Belmont Sprint will be staged at Belmont Park on Saturday, June 9.
The race was first run in 1963 and won by Free Style who was prepared by Buster O’Malley.
Multiple winners include National Boy (1978-79) and Grand Nirvana (2009-10) for trainer Fred Kersley.
Kersley also prepared Dynamor (1993) and Marasco (2008) to victories.
The last mare to win was Tribula (2003), trained By Arthur Mortimer, who defeated Modem and Finito.
Roma Cup-Belmont Sprint winners include Grand Nirvana (2011), Modem (2004), Tribula (2003), Tangiers (1980), National Boy (1979), Clear Mak (1973), Firelight (1969) and Santaland (1968).
