IDYLLIC PRINCE STAKES OVERVIEW
- The race was known as the Goodwood Sprint until 2015 when it was renamed in honour of the Jim Taylor-trained Idyllic Prince who secured the event in four straight years.
- The Scenic gelding also won the Group 2 Lee Steere Stakes (2009), Group 3 Prince Of Wales Stakes on two occasions (2007-2009) and Group 3 Asian Beau Stakes (2006).
- Idyllic Prince retired in 2011 after winning the Goodwood Sprint from Playing God and Elliotto. He left racing after winning 15 races from 45 starts and a touch over a million dollars in stake earnings.
