A breeding quinella for Gray and Jan Williamson’s Mungrup Stud in the Westspeed Plate over 1000 metres at Ascot on Saturday.

The winner, the Neville Parnham trained Lenience is by Mungrup’s resident stallion Danehill Express out of Oh Mercy, making him a half-brother to the former classy galloper Mercury Halo (9 wins and $256K prize money), and Storm on By ( 5 wins and $132K prize money).

Neville Parnham purchased the Colt at the 2012 Perth Magic Millions Sales for what is now a bargain price of $54,000. His win prize money plus Westspeed Bonus earned connections $55,000.

Vampi Lass, a filly by Bletchley Park by the unraced Stormy Son mare Stormvielle ran a very game race. Stormvielle is a half-sister to black type gallopers Lock The Vault and Kenviel.

Connections were confident evidenced by the money that came for her. She was purchased by trainer Ben Pearce from the 2012 Perth Magic Millions Sales for $15,000. Like Lenience, she too will more than repay her purchase price.

Mungrup Stud (as Agent) will be offering a half-sister to Vampi Lass by their leading stallion Oratorio in the 2013 Perth Magic Millions Sales to be held 19 – 20 February 2013.

Mungrup Stud will be well represented in the Magic Millions Sales with yearlings by their resident stallions Oratorio, Danehill Express, Due Sasso and Hala Bek; as well as several by young Danetime stallion Vital Equine.
